The company has rich chromite mines in Fars and Hormozgan provinces, as well as three magnesium mines in South Khorasan province.

Among these mines, Khajeh Jamali Mining Complex near Khajeh Jamali Village is one of Abadeh Tashk's suburbs in Fars province which is one of the pioneers in chromite field in Iran.

The complex produces a variety of chromite casting sands, mainly for domestic consumers.

The average chemical analysis of sand produced by this company is as follows:

Cr₂O₃: 32 - 52 %

Fe₂O₃: 15 - 16 %

Al₂O₃: 13 - 13/5 %

MgO: 15 - 15/5 %

Applications of Magnesium Minerals

Magnesium is used in the preparation of magnesium oxide and magnesium metal.

Magnesium oxide is used in the manufacture of refractory bricks for the internal coating of electric furnaces that can withstand temperatures up to 3,000 degrees Celsius and in the manufacture of chemicals, fertilizers and silk as electrical insulators and in the paper industry.
